As we reach the end of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished together at Disability Independence Group. This has been a year filled with growth, resilience, and community. From our events and trainings to the countless conversations we’ve had with individuals and families, DIG has remained a place where people can find information, support, and a sense of belonging. Every connection we made, and every story we shared, reminded us why this work matters.

This year, we expanded the Wallet Card® Project and welcomed new partners. We hosted community events, including our Supper Social gatherings and bowling party, that brought people together and strengthened friendships. Our team led trainings on disability rights, accessibility, voting, and safety, serving more than 800 people. We also stayed connected through our monthly newsletters and active social media outreach, sharing information, resources, and personal stories that reflect the diversity of our community.

As we look ahead, we remain hopeful and energized. The disability community continues to face real barriers, but our work proves that change is possible when people come together with intention. DIG will continue to advocate, educate, and empower because every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and full participation in their community. Thank you for being part of our journey this year and being part of the DIG family. We’re grateful for your support and ready to keep working hard to ensure people with disabilities remain included, supported, and valued in every part of our community.
