Florida’s Primary Election is coming up on August 18, 2026, and the deadline to register to vote is July 20, 2026. If you want to vote in the Primary Election, you must be registered by that date.

Even if you have voted before, it is a good idea to check your registration information now. If you moved, changed your name, or need to update your signature, taking care of it before the deadline can help prevent problems later.

You can check your voter registration through your local Supervisor of Elections office or by visiting Vote411.org.

Once you are registered, you can also request a vote-by-mail ballot. In Florida, vote-by-mail requests are made through your local Supervisor of Elections office. If you are a voter with a disability, you may also be able to request an accessible vote-by-mail ballot, which allows you to receive and mark your ballot using accessible technology.

Here are a few simple ways to get ready:

  • Check that your voter registration is active and up to date
  • Update your address, name, or signature if needed
  • Decide whether you plan to vote in person or by mail
  • Request your vote-by-mail ballot early if that is how you plan to vote
  • Ask your local Supervisor of Elections office about accessible voting options if you need them

Taking a few minutes now can make voting easier and help ensure everything is ready before the Primary Election. Voting is one way to make your voice heard in decisions that affect your community, and being prepared now can help you focus on casting your ballot when the time comes.
