2026 Miami-Dade County Voting Information

A particularly important priority is ensuring that voters with disabilities can cast their ballots independently, confidently, and with dignity. Every voting location in Miami-Dade County is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is equipped with accessible voting technology designed to help voters vote privately and independently.
Our ExpressVote ballot-marking devices feature touchscreen technology, audio ballots, sip-and-puff capabilities, and other accessibility features to accommodate a wide range of needs.
In addition to voting at a polling place, eligible voters with disabilities may request an accessible Vote-by-Mail ballot. This option allows qualified voters to receive their ballot electronically, mark it using their own assistive technology if they choose, and complete the voting process with greater independence from home.
How to request an accessible Vote-by-Mail ballot:
- Request an accessible Vote-by-Mail ballot online.
- When completing your request, be sure to check the box labeled “Voters with Disabilities.”
- Once your request has been processed, you will receive an email containing a secure link to access your accessible ballot.
- If you are eligible for the election, you may mark your ballot electronically. After making your selections, you must print the ballot and return it by mail. You will also receive a standard Vote-by-Mail ballot packet through the United States Postal Service. If you prefer, or if you experience difficulty printing the accessible ballot, you may instead complete and return the paper ballot included in that packet.
- Important: Return only one ballot using the official return envelope provided.
- Remember to sign inside the red box on the outside of the return envelope.
- Your completed ballot must be received by the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
- Florida law allows voters with disabilities to receive their ballot electronically; however, completed ballots cannot be returned electronically and must be returned as described above.
- An immediate family member may return your completed Vote-by-Mail ballot to Elections Headquarters in Doral, our Downtown Branch Office, or any Secure Ballot Intake Station located at the County’s 23 Early Voting sites.
If you have already requested a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the August 18, 2026, Primary Election, you should have received it by now. If you have not, please contact my office immediately. The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot for the Primary Election is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
